Prudence (Spirit Doll Rouge)

Prudence, detail. - This faceup was something new for me, going for a 'painterly/sketchy' vibe.
Up close very textured, step back & it pulls together.

It was very fun to do! I love the pen and ink sketches Charles Dana Gibson.
Also, Heinrich Kley is a great inspiration.

Introducing Prudence - Spirit Doll Rouge

This poor girl has been in a bag since 2011 (I NEED to update my doll list here).
I knew I wanted to give her a "Gibson Girl" look - inspired from sketches by Charles Dana Gibson.
She even has the sketchy cross-hatching around her eyes and on contours of her face.
I really enjoyed working with pencil on her faceup. ^.^

Now to start sewing for her!  THAT will be a challenge as I want to go Edwardian for her.
